I had a massive revelation today when thinking about the story of Obed-Edom in 1 chronicles, where the ark of the covenant (where gods spirit dwelled in the old testament) was left outside his house, and all amount of blessing came upon him, wealth came, his cattle multiplied, his fields overgrew with crops, all because gods spirit was in the near vicinity. This made me think, if that is the effect of gods spirit then, why should it be any different now? We all have gods spirit in us, we are all arks of gods covenant, we obey the bible and we contain gods spirit, we then should have the same blessing on our lives, and have the same ability to bless others! How awesome is that! If we can get it into our heads that god is a god who loves to bless his children, not in a spoilt way, but in a constructive healthy life building way, we can unleash an army of equipped, empowered and blessed christians who know god, know god blesses them, and bless others through that blessing, and I pray that this revelation will come to you through this post.
